Those who enroll in a five-week class can expect to complete 2–3 jewelry projects.
The first project is making a sterling silver band ring. The process introduces basic
techniques including sawing, soldering, forming, finishing, and stone setting. Students
then can choose from an in-house collection of gemstones to add a splash of color.
In addition, students learn many classic techniques, including how to make a bezel
setting by hand. For this class, tool and studio use are provided, but students must
supply their own materials. A materials list will be provided at registration, along
with a list of merchants where the materials may be purchased.
