brian gibney

Founder of AMALGAMarts, Brian has been a jeweler for over 15 years. Primarily a metal smith, he enjoys using simple techniques such as metal cutting, forming, forging, and reticulation to make wearable art from sterling silver, gold, platinum, and steel. A scientist and artist, these two disparate loves come together in his jewelry to create pieces with simple, balanced lines. His pieces have a range of styles, but are often describes as having organic, industrial, or asian undertones.

Brian has been teaching for over a decade. As a self taught jeweler, he encourages students to develop an intimate knowledge of the materials through experimentation while at the same time providing individual, hands-on guidance. He takes pride in his teaching and loves to watch new jewelers explore their creativity. Click here to see his testimonials.
